Supervisory Training Program

Supervisors are your first line of defense: what they say and do can either create or prevent a problem. Oftentimes, employers reward their most loyal, knowledgeable and hard working employees by promoting them into supervisory or other management level positions. Many of these employees, however, have never honed the supervisory and managerial skills necessary to be in such leadership positions.

Providing the proper training to supervisors and managers is essential. Such training can help shield your organization from costly and time-consuming litigation claims.

Royal LLP has designed a comprehensive workshop series called Starting Point. Each series consists of 2 to 3 sessions (depending upon the subject matter) with each session lasting one hour in length. Through these topic-specific workshops, we will teach your supervisors and managers how to avoid the most common mistakes that lead to employment litigation claims. We will arm them with the right information to make the right decisions and thereby reduce the risk of such claims.

Why this program is different?

We come to you. We conduct the workshop at your job site thereby eliminating the need for employee travel time to and from an off-site location.

We make it short yet comprehensive. The time commitment of 2 or 3 sessions per workshop and one hour per session is minimal. The content is detailed. We focus in on the practical issues supervisors must deal with on a day-to-day basis.

We make it practical and hands-on. Many training programs are too theoretical and/or involve too much legalese. Not ours. We will provide real world, practical examples, factual scenarios, and role-playing to give participants an in-depth understanding of the subject matter and their role in relation to it.

We tailor it to your organization?s needs. Not all employment problems can be solved with an "off-the-shelf" solution. We customize our trainings to fit your organization and its specific needs.

We set the skill level to match the skill level of participants. Whether you need to train your top managers or all levels of management, including your first level of supervisors, we tailor the workshop to meet the level of expertise of program participants. What your front line supervisors must know may be different from that of your senior leadership team.

What are the expected learning outcomes?

Participants will actually engage in the practical application of skills in the designated subject matter of the workshop helping to make their managerial/supervisory job easier and more effective.
