Daniel W. Morton-Bentley is the head of the law firm’s Labor Law Group, concentrating his practice in labor law. Daniel has experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements and advising on contract interpretation. Daniel also manages all aspects of complex employment litigation in state and federal court, successfully defending clients in a variety of areas of employment law, such as wage and hour and Family and Medical Leave Act violations, discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, and breach of contract. He advises companies in affirmative action planning, OFCCP audits and compliance, and disability and leave policies.
Daniel graduated magna cum laude from Skidmore College and cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law. He also earned an LL.M. from Suffolk University School of Law with a concentration in International Law and Business. In attaining his advanced law degree at Suffolk University, Daniel studied labor and employment law, with an emphasis on the National Labor Relations Act and the Federal Arbitration Act.
Daniel is a frequent speaker on labor law topics for a variety of organizations and associations. He has authored numerous articles on labor and employment law topics and his published works include an article in the Holy Cross Journal of Law and Public Policy in 2010 and a case review in State Court Docket Watch, Spring 2011. Daniel is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts.
